Brownies with a twist! These brownies may look like normal brownies at first but we added a secret ingredient...avocados! Avocados are a great source of healthy fats, fiber as well as potassium and other vitamins (check out our avocado recipe blog for more ideas: https://www.icookafterschool.com/post/all-about-avocados-recipes)
Ingredients:
1/2 avocado, mashed
2 tbsp olive oil
3/4 cup of oats
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/4 cup honey
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup chocolate chips
4 baking foil tins or muffin tray
makes 4 individual brownies
Directions:
Scoop one half of the avocado into a large bowl and mash until creamy
Add the oil into the bowl and whisk until smooth
Measure and blend oats in the blender until it becomes oat flour
In a large bowl combine avocado mixture, oat flour, cocoa powder, honey, baking soda, salt, water
Fold the chocolate chips into your batter
Distribute your batter into muffin tins and bake them in the oven at 375F for 15 minutes (baking time may vary)
Remove and let cool for 2-3 minutes
